Beginning Wednesday, April 16th, TVLand will be airing a new reality show, titled The Big 4-0.  In a nutshell, it will be showcasing individuals from around the United States who are celebrating their 40th birthdays.  I’m kind of excited about this show, as I will also be celebrating my 40th birthday this year.

They say that turning 40 is a big deal, but I think that has changed in the past few years.  It seems that turning 40 is now something to be proud of, and I for one, am.  I think it’s kind of cool that someone out there is seeing this event as something to celebrate, rather than something to mourn.  I’m proud of the fact that I’m almost 40.

So join me and see how those of us who are getting ready to hit a milestone birthday, celebrate the big day.  The Big 4-0 will air on Wednesdays beginning April 16th.  Check local listings for specific times.  I always knew turning 40 was going to be fun, now I’ll be able to prove it.
